This is a spoiler-filled afterword—or something like it.
First of all, today we finally released this episode.
Afterword
At long last, I was finally able to shape it into something real.
To put it simply: I’m overwhelmed. So overwhelmed, I could cry…
And at the same time, I’m deeply grateful to everyone involved—though I also feel a bit sorry it took so long.
Some of the audio was sent to me over a year ago. There was a time when a family member’s health declined, and I nearly gave up—but I hung in there, and I’m truly glad I didn’t stop.
After that, not just my mother, but also my father became ill. Honestly, I thought my creative life might come to an end. But perhaps because my family—who don’t really understand my creative work—cheered me on in their own way, I’ve been able to come this far. I owe it to so many people.
Just like that saying: “It’s game over the moment you give up.”
As for my feelings now… it’s hard to put into words.
There’s a kind of joy and emotion that leaves me speechless.
That said, there are still over 40 episodes to go.
If you enjoyed this one, I would be honored if you continued to follow the story.
Thoughts on Episode 0 (Part 1)
The opening exchange between Ellen (Kazumi Hioka) and Keith (Tetsuya Shōji) brought tears to my eyes.
It felt like it might be their final farewell…
Then, the dignified performance by Haruto Takanashi as Fay really struck me.
Fuu is truly a cool character.
Thanks to the three of them, the story starts with a real sense of excitement.
And more than anything, the power of sound blew me away.
I asked Momo Tachibana to handle the sound, and I was moved by how much emotion it conveyed.
Also, about the opening and ending songs:
Though the lyrics were clumsy (written by me), thanks to Found and Hanataba Sound Studio’s compositions, they became beautiful pieces.
My heartfelt thanks to the singers—Sammy and Takuo Ogiso—for breathing life into the feelings of Ellen and Fay.
So, this got a bit long, but I’ll end my reflections on Episode 0 (Part 1) here.
If I don’t hold back, I tend to ramble (;’∀’)
Thank you very much for reading this far!
See you again next time (scheduled for June 13, 2025)!
