Episode 0: The Princess’s Escape (Part 3) – Afterword

Hello, good evening, and good morning!

This is Atsuki Asakura.

Today, we’ve released Episode 0: The Princess’s Escape (Part 3).

If you haven’t checked it out yet, please do!

This time, unlike the previous (somewhat comedic?) episode, we had a much more emotional and quiet story.

The episode opened with the dashing performance of Sir Cecil, played by Eugene, and the beautifully melancholic portrayal of the songstress Alice, voiced by Natsu Mochizuki.

Their bittersweet, somewhat-misunderstood connection was really touching.

Ah... it was gentle, heartfelt, and truly lovely.

These two have quite a lot coming their way in the story.

Then morning came—and we had the four Mikomiko girls:

Meryl (voiced by Otoha), Monica (voiced by Eryshia Nanashiri), Yuu (voiced by Miki Kariya), and Lillian (voiced by Haru Yosano)—plus Alice.

Their casual, everyday conversation might seem lighthearted...

But since I know what awaits these four in the future, I found it heartbreaking and incredibly sad.

Little by little, even they begin to drift apart.

Tales of the Black Kingdom is a story full of human relationships and emotional depth—

I hope you'll pay special attention to those elements as the story unfolds.

What I’ve been working on lately:

I’m organizing things—like our site.

We’re expanding the series in many ways, from the voice drama to the original script, the manga, and now internationally—especially into English- and German-speaking regions.

So, while I’m not exactly multilingual, I’m trying to gather everything in one place.

I’m also considering moving over to Wix, and maybe even investing in a paid plan for the new site?

Apparently, there are easy-to-use apps that can make it all possible!

I think I can do it—though the translations may be tough, I’ll do my best.

And with that, I’ll wrap things up here!

Next time, we might be diving into one of the darker parts of Tales of the Black Kingdom...
