Chapter 0: The Princess’s Escape – Episode 4

Today, we released Episode 4 of Chapter 0: The Princess’s Escape.

Now then—here’s the customary editor’s note.

his time, the story took a sharp turn from the tone of previous episodes, diving straight into a truly dark fantasy atmosphere.

Nanase (voiced by Yona) radiated with a cheerful yet suspicious vibe that stood out brilliantly in the drama.

Ion (voiced by Ryota Kuga) had a performance tinged with suspicion and sorrow, shining in a way that made the whole episode feel like light cloaked in darkness—and it absolutely stirred my inner chuunibyo (edgy fantasy-loving heart)!

And then there was Daniel (voiced by Atsushi Sugiyama) at the end—his words were eerie yet firm, exuding a deep shadow, as if he had both delivered and been struck by a decisive blow.

This was, without a doubt, an episode that perfectly captured the essence of Tales of the Black Kingdom.

Since this is a dark fantasy story, similar episodes will continue going forward.

Once again, deep respect and heartfelt thanks to our amazing voice cast who portrayed these three characters.

Also, continuing from previous episodes, Tetsuya Shoji handled the narration—thank you once again for the excellent work!

As for the next episode: it will feature two contrasting moods, making for a somewhat mysterious and dark tale.
